About the Role
At PepsiCo UK, we are proud to produce some of the nation’s favourite snacks and drinks, including Walkers, Quaker, Doritos, Pipers, and Monster Munch. With multiple sites across the UK, including our Quaker mill in Cupar and Doritos factory in Coventry, we are home to one of the world’s largest crisp factories in Leicester. We are seeking a passionate and influential leader to drive our Leicester site’s Sustainability and Resource Conservation (RECON) agenda.

This role is responsible for developing and delivering strategies that reduce energy, water, and waste consumption while supporting operational excellence, cost reduction, and environmental compliance. Working collaboratively across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Leadership teams, the successful candidate will champion a culture of sustainability, embedding conservation principles into daily activities and long-term business planning.

Key responsibilities include leading the Leicester Manufacturing energy resource conservation program, building a strategic roadmap aligned with the maturity model, developing capability, and empowering personnel. The role involves liaising with external contractors, council services, and other organizations to ensure performance and best value, proactively identifying projects to reduce energy or waste, and managing safety and environmental compliance within the span of responsibility.

Additional duties include building the annual energy operating plan budget, developing a 5+ year energy saving program aligned with site productivity plans, managing energy reading and monitoring assets, maintaining accurate records, benchmarking energy consumption against best practice, implementing energy management processes, and coordinating energy surveys and feasibility studies. The role also supports engineering and project teams in implementing energy reduction projects.
