About the Role
Eco2Solar, the UK’s largest and most successful Solar PV installer (recently invested in by EON), is seeking a Renewables Electrician based in York. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and future-proof your career by installing EV chargers, Solar PV systems, battery storage, and innovative products for new build housing developers to meet carbon reduction targets. You will work in a safe and controlled environment, installing renewable energy systems while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service in low carbon electrical installations.
As a Renewables Electrician, your responsibilities will include the safe and efficient installation of PV systems (inverters and generation meters), accurate and timely submission of paperwork, and compliance with MCS, Health, Safety, and Quality standards. This is a site-based role requiring daily travel and occasional overnight stays. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and good technological ability to use apps for certifications and reports are essential. You will work both independently managing your workload and collaboratively as part of a team, always prioritizing client needs and striving to develop your skills.

Experience
Previous experience in solar installations and/or domestic new builds is required.

Qualifications
- 18th Edition electrical qualifications (BS7671)
- N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Building and Structures) OR completed apprenticeship with AM2
- Desirable but not essential:
- Solar certification (BPEC or City & Guilds Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small-Scale PV Systems)
- CSCS/ECS Card for site works
- Testing and Inspection 2391-52
- Experience in 3 phase installations
