About the Role
Join Kier Group as a Sustainability Summer Placement within our Construction team working on the University of Warwick STEM contract. This placement offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental management on a major construction project. You will be involved in a variety of activities including ecology, monitoring and data analysis, audits and compliance, innovation and carbon reduction, water and waste management, and sustainable design.
Your day-to-day duties will include assisting in the planning, execution, and management of projects relevant to your field of study, supporting the project environment team and wider business environmental function, collaborating with team members and stakeholders, conducting research and analysis, preparing reports and presentations, participating in team meetings, and supporting the implementation of new processes and strategies. This placement is designed to provide you with valuable hands-on experience, skill development, and insight into the construction and sustainability sectors.

Experience
We are looking for students undertaking a degree with an Environmental or Sustainability focus, or a related field, who have the option or requirement to complete a placement year from 2026 to 2027. Previous experience is not essential but a strong interest in environmental management and sustainability is important.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a relevant degree programme with a placement year option or requirement. You will be returning to university after the placement with a graduation year of 2028.
