About the Role
Avara Foods is one of the UK's leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door, with major processing sites across England and Wales and an agricultural network of over 350 farms.
As an inclusive and forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to sustainability and are seeking a highly competent and motivated Sustainability Apprentice to join our Sustainability Team. This role offers the opportunity to undertake a Level 4 Apprenticeship as a Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner.
We are at the beginning of our sustainability journey, having made significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). We are now expanding our environmental sustainability programme and KPIs for the next 15 years. The Sustainability Apprentice will focus on data management and reporting, supporting the development and application of sustainability assessment tools to improve the management and reduction of carbon, waste, water, and raw materials.
There are opportunities for further development aligned with your career aspirations, working closely with the Sustainability Team to deliver robust and auditable sustainability data and contribute to internal and external reporting and engagement.
