Avara Foods is one of the UK's leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. We manage our entire supply chain from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door, with major processing sites across England and Wales and an agricultural network of over 350 farms.

As an inclusive and forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to Sustainability and are seeking a highly motivated Graduate/Apprentice to join our Sustainability Team. This role can be undertaken as a Level 4 Apprenticeship as a Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner.

We are at the beginning of our Sustainability journey, having made significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). We are now expanding our environmental sustainability programme and KPIs for the next 15 years. The Sustainability Apprentice will focus on data management and reporting, supporting the development and application of sustainability assessment tools to improve management and reduction of carbon, waste, water, and raw materials.

There are opportunities for further development aligned with your career aspirations. You will work closely with the Sustainability Team to ensure robust and auditable sustainability data and contribute to internal and external reporting, including the annual Avara Responsible Business Report.

Experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables
- Competency in other Microsoft Office applications such as PowerBI
- Experience gathering and interpreting large data sets and presenting them clearly
- Understanding of agriculture and food systems, specifically poultry supply chains, is desirable

Qualifications
- Suitable for graduates or those seeking a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner
