About the Role
As a Sustainability Manager at Edwards Vacuum, LLC, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Sustainability roadmap across the SUN division, ensuring alignment with the business area intent. You will build, execute, and establish a sustainably compliant operational footprint, working cross-functionally to strategically prioritise and transform the division in line with our strategy to enable sustainable product, operational, and sourcing solutions. Your role includes identifying risks and opportunities to establish resilient infrastructure that demonstrates best practice in the market.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will establish a sustainability plan aligned with SUN roadmaps that successfully engages cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with divisional leadership to build, develop, and implement a sustainability roadmap aligned with divisional strategy and SBTi commitments, addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) requirements.

You will lead the development, definition, and support execution of sustainability initiatives covering Carbon, Energy, Water, Waste, and Biodiversity, leveraging external standards and best practices. Engaging with supply chain leaders and divisional management, you will identify partners to support compliance with the sustainability roadmap.

Supporting divisional leadership and product companies, you will help identify and develop a pipeline of operational sustainability improvement projects contributing to net zero proposals and business cases. You will collaborate with Engineering, Marketing & Product Management, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure product development supports market-leading sustainable solutions.

Working with the Sustainability business area team, you will contribute to the overall transition plan, demonstrating readiness in semiconductors and identifying competency gaps to inform training requirements. You will also represent the division in external industry bodies and thought leadership networks to advance opportunities for the Semiconductor Division.

Finally, you will create, validate, and maintain the division’s sustainability reporting and compliance with Atlas Copco climate targets, including SBTi, and align with financial measures over time.

Experience
- Proven capability in delivering cross-functional projects
- Experience or strong personal interest in sustainability within industry
- Evidence of implementing new/latest industry standards or compliance in an industrial setting
- Experience working within an international organisation with a global remit
- Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering businesses
- Excellent collaboration skills and experience working within a matrix environment

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or relevant environmental discipline, or extensive management experience
