About the Role
What if you could shape a career as unique as you? At WSP, you can always find opportunities to grow and do what matters to you. Make the most of our global reach to discover new challenges and chances to work with diverse, talented individuals who will help you expand your horizons. Our Strategic Asset Management team is growing, working across sectors providing advisory and consultancy services to road, rail, aviation, local government and energy clients. As a Technical Director in Asset Management, you will be a recognised subject matter expert and senior advisor, responsible for leading and shaping asset management strategies across infrastructure and other sectors. Your role will be fundamental in leading technical and advisory assignments for clients on long-term capital investment planning, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. You will work with senior executives, government agencies, and private sector clients to deliver high-impact consulting and technical solutions that improve asset performance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of strategic asset management frameworks for clients across infrastructure and other sectors, including highways, transportation, rail, defence, power and utilities. Provide technical leadership on complex projects, applying expertise in risk-based decision-making, whole-life asset planning, information management and regulatory compliance. Lead analytical staff and technical experts to inform long-term capital investment programmes. Work with clients to assess how they currently manage their assets, identify organisational and operational improvement opportunities, and define how they would like to manage their assets in the future. Lead strategic asset management advisory commissions, organisational transformation programmes and business case development for major infrastructure clients, acting as a trusted advisor to executive and board-level stakeholders. Lead and manage tenders to support the production of high-quality winning submissions. Act as a lead advisor, ensuring the integration of technology (Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Decision Support Tools (DSTs)) to enhance asset performance and resilience. Oversee and manage multidisciplinary consulting projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and exceed client expectations. Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for process improvement, adoption of new technology and development of sustainability initiatives. Build and maintain strong client relationships, representing WSP externally in professional societies, conferences and industry forums. Mentor and develop a team of consultants, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture and ensuring all safety, health and well-being (SH&W) requirements are met. Opportunity to develop the team further through networking across our wider teams.

Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all. Work on landmark projects around the world and embrace opportunities to make an even bigger impact in the communities you care about. What if you could do the best work of your life and create a legacy for yourself? With us, you can. Apply today.
