About the Role
Omexom, part of VINCI Energies UK & ROI, specialises in electrical infrastructure projects for electricity utility companies and renewable energy developers across the UK and Ireland. As a Trainee Environmental and Sustainability Advisor, you will support operational teams across Scotland by providing advice and guidance on environmental and sustainability management. This role involves travel to various project sites and working closely with clients, regulators, and local stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards. You will assist in developing documentation, supporting on-site mitigation, and promoting a culture of continual improvement. Full training and support will be provided by the Omexom Environmental Team to help you develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this role. Responsibilities include advising on environmental matters, supporting sustainability activities, investigating environmental incidents, ensuring compliance with legislation, and producing reports on environmental and sustainability performance.

Requirements

Experience
- Basic knowledge of environmental management and sustainability issues including Water Environment, Ecology, and Archaeology
- Ability to travel across Scotland and flexibility to work from home, office, and site
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to establish effective networks internally and externally
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others at all levels

You are a commercially focused self-starter with enthusiasm, motivation, and initiative. You are adaptable, able to work flexibly across different environments, and committed to developing your expertise in environmental and sustainability management.

Qualifications
- Full UK driver's licence
- Desirable: Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Management
- Desirable: Practical experience and knowledge of environmental projects
- Desirable: Understanding of the construction operating environment
- Desirable: Membership of an Environmental Body (e.g. IES, IEMA)
- Desirable: Experience using ESRI ArcGIS and data management
