About the Role
This unique field-based role bridges environmental chemistry and practical outdoor operations. You will work across Water, Construction, and Compliance service areas, often autonomously, ensuring flawless data integrity. Responsibilities include testing industrial and domestic waste streams at treatment works, collecting environmental compliance samples, and maintaining monitoring infrastructure in the field. You will perform official receipt of tankered waste loads, conduct rapid chemical analyses on samples, carry out routine environmental sampling and monitoring, and perform operational checks, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on environmental control systems. Accurate data capture and timely reporting to Data Analysts is essential. You will liaise with commercial laboratories and couriers to maintain sample compliance during transport. Safety is paramount, utilising the "Stay Safe" remote working application and reporting any incidents immediately. Additionally, you will assist with on-site training and shadowing of new employees, providing an engaging onboarding experience.

Experience
Foundational knowledge of the water/waste industry or prior environmental field monitoring experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

Qualifications
BSc Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline (highly desirable)
