About the Role
A great opportunity to help protect and enhance the district’s natural environment by safeguarding its trees and integrating trees and soft landscaping within new developments. Tandridge District Council is a Green Belt authority located in east Surrey, bordering Kent and the London Boroughs to the north, with two National Landscapes within the district. As part of the Planning team, you will provide specialist arboricultural advice on Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), tree work applications, development management applications, Conservation Area trees, planning enforcement matters relating to trees and soft landscape, and high hedges. You will maintain and review the TPO database, assess new requests for tree protection, and contribute to balancing sustainable development with the preservation of the district’s most important tree assets.

Experience
Experience in arboriculture, planning, or a related field is desirable to provide specialist advice on tree protection and development management.
