About the Role
A great opportunity to help protect and enhance the district’s natural environment by safeguarding its trees and integrating trees and soft landscape within new developments. Tandridge District is a Green Belt authority with two National Landscapes, located in east Surrey bordering Kent and the London Boroughs to the north. The role supports maintaining the beautiful rural character of the area and enhancing it for future generations.
As part of the Planning team, you will provide specialist arboricultural advice on Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), tree work applications, development management applications, Conservation Area trees, planning enforcement matters related to trees and soft landscape, and high hedges. You will maintain and review the Tree Preservation Orders database, assess new requests for tree protection, and contribute to balancing sustainable development with preserving the district’s most important tree assets.

Experience
Experience in arboriculture, planning, or a related field is desirable to provide specialist advice on tree protection and management within a planning context.

Qualifications
