About the Role
As an Urban Designer at Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team including designers, engineers, technicians, and other specialists. Together, you will deliver projects and programmes that support the Trust’s strategic priorities to create new and improve existing places for people to walk, wheel, and cycle.

You will be responsible for producing clear and accurate technical design work, using your professional skills and experience to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Your work will play a key role in delivering complex projects that support our mission to provide high quality and sustainable infrastructure.

In this role, you will apply your design and technical knowledge to practical and creative problem solving, producing technical design outputs as well as engagement materials for non-technical audiences including children and young people. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across disciplines to contribute to solutions that improve active travel networks.

Urban Designers at the Trust often lead community engagement related to infrastructure design, involving communities and partners early to shape outcomes that work for local people. Opportunities to design and deliver community, stakeholder, and school engagement events are available as part of our collaborative design process.

We will arrange any necessary DBS checks as this role involves working with school and community groups.
