About the Role
It’s an exciting time for Stantec's water teams, with a range of AMP 8 framework appointments and a major growth strategy for 2025 and beyond already underway. We have multiple opportunities for Urban Drainage Modellers to join our Northern teams based in Leeds, Manchester, and Warrington. Our teams are engaged in a variety of exciting frameworks including the United Utilities Design Development Partnership, where we help improve water and wastewater networks, and the Specialist Network Modelling Framework, focusing on developing, verifying, and maintaining hydraulic models.
Additionally, we contribute to sustainable solutions to reduce stormwater overflows as part of Yorkshire Water's Storm Overflow Alliance and maintain a 30-year relationship with Northumbrian Water through their Strategic Technical Partnership, supporting efficiency, net zero carbon, and nature-based solution ambitions.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary service, you will engage with projects from conception through delivery, driving innovation and excellence. The variety of work ensures development of a broad skillset, delivering projects that improve water quality, manage urban pollution, and support Stantec’s environmental commitments.
You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of 175 personnel across the UK and internationally, alongside clients and consultant/contractor partners, delivering industry-leading projects. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative team working on specialist modelling frameworks and impactful projects.
Experience
Proven experience applying technical skills in the water industry, specifically in urban drainage modelling.
Proficiency in the use of InfoWorks ICM.
Experience working within an urban drainage environment.

Qualifications
Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a relevant subject.
Membership of a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM is desirable.
