About the Role
We are seeking a talented Principal Civil Engineer to join our team and work on exciting water projects that make a significant impact. You will be involved in some of the largest and most iconic water projects in the UK, partnering with top water clients and designing with community and sustainability in mind. Our projects focus on reducing environmental impacts, improving social outcomes, and delivering infrastructure that adapts to and mitigates climate change effects. You will lead civil engineering design and teams across the project lifecycle, including asset planning, concept, outline, and detailed design phases. Project areas include clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment and networks, flooding, and urban drainage. You will collaborate closely with project design leads to ensure successful delivery and outcomes, supported by Stantec’s world-class expertise and resources.

Experience
Proven experience as a Civil Engineer working on water, environment, or related infrastructure projects. Demonstrated success in project delivery and leading civil engineering teams. Experience in client-facing roles with regular client engagement and collaboration.
About you
A passion for the water and environment sector and a commitment to supporting the development of civil engineers. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams. Motivated to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Qualifications
Chartered or Incorporated membership with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM is highly desirable.
