About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Urban Ecology Project Manager to lead the delivery of Cody Dock’s Urban Ecology programme. This full-time, 3-year fixed term role is ideal for an ecologist with strong project management experience, able to apply ecological expertise within urban regeneration and planning contexts. You will manage multiple ecology-led projects, oversee budgets and reporting, and maintain strategic partnerships with local authorities, statutory bodies, landowners, and developers. Key responsibilities include delivering urban ecology projects to time, scope, and budget; developing project plans, budgets, risk registers, and monitoring frameworks; leading strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement; ensuring ecological monitoring and data inform project delivery and reporting; and line-managing the Biodiversity Officer and Urban Ecology Activity Leader.
Experience
- Degree or equivalent in ecology or environmental science
- Experience managing ecological or environmental projects
- Strong stakeholder management and project delivery skills
About you
- Able to lead and manage multiple projects effectively
- Skilled in building and maintaining strategic partnerships
- Comfortable working within urban regeneration and planning frameworks
Qualifications
- Essential: Degree or equivalent in ecology or environmental science
- Desirable: Project management qualification (e.g., PMWC, PRINCE2, APM)
- Knowledge of urban ecology, planning frameworks, or Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is advantageous
