About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Urban Ecology Project Manager to lead the delivery of Cody Dock’s Urban Ecology programme. This full-time, 3-year fixed term role is ideal for an ecologist with strong project management experience, able to apply ecological expertise within urban regeneration and planning contexts. You will manage multiple ecology-led projects, oversee budgets and reporting, and maintain strategic partnerships with local authorities, statutory bodies, landowners, and developers. Key responsibilities include delivering urban ecology projects to time, scope, and budget; developing project plans, budgets, risk registers, and monitoring frameworks; leading strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement; ensuring ecological monitoring and data inform project delivery and reporting; and line-managing the Biodiversity Officer and Urban Ecology Activity Leader.

Experience
- Degree or equivalent in ecology or environmental science
- Experience managing ecological or environmental projects
- Strong stakeholder management and project delivery skills

You are an ecologist with strong project management skills, able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including local authorities, statutory bodies, landowners, and developers. You are organised, proactive, and able to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of ecological monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications
- Essential: Degree or equivalent in ecology or environmental science
- Desirable: Project management qualification (e.g., PMWC, PRINCE2, APM)
- Desirable: Knowledge of urban ecology, planning frameworks, or Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
