About the Role
We are looking for an Inventory Operator to join Thames Water permanently. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be part of the Inventory Operations and Supply Management team, responsible for the safe custody and real-time visibility of our stock holdings. You will ensure a first-class professional delivery and collection service across all Thames Water and Alliance locations of critical stock and equipment to support operational teams during customer and operational incidents. Internally, this role is known as an Inventory Operative.
Your key duties will include operating mechanical handling equipment safely (FLT driving training provided), using SAP to maintain accurate inventory levels and update stock records, safely loading and unloading vehicles, managing daily receipts from Distribution Centres, actioning returns against work orders, maintaining good housekeeping throughout the site and stores, ensuring timely delivery and collection of equipment and critical stock, and safeguarding Thames Water stock and equipment.
Experience
Previous warehouse experience is essential.
About you
- Hold a valid, full UK driving licence and have your own transport.
- Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with manual handling, including lifting up to 25 kg.
- Basic computer skills, specifically Excel.
- FLT licence is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
