About the Role
Join Tradebe, a leading industrial group committed to sustainability, recycling, energy recovery, and the circular economy. As Waste Supervisor at Tradebe Knowsley, you will oversee the hazardous waste export operations, working closely with the IRS Chemist and operations managers to maintain strict control across all activities. This role requires clear communication and planning to align with overall site operations, ensuring operational efficiencies and compliance.
Your key responsibilities will include ensuring material condition and suitability for transport, determining effective repackaging methods balancing safety and cost, selecting optimal routes for receipt, monitoring TFS stock levels, and aligning outbound export planning. You will ensure full loads match weekly export plans, maximize space efficiency, and liaise with site operations and management to address daily pressures and develop action plans.
Additional duties involve delegating material processing based on priority, raising health and safety issues through the QPulse system, and supervising the loading of export containers and trailers to maximize load weight while ensuring safe loading plans and compliance with ADR and IMDG labelling requirements.
This is a pivotal role requiring interaction with senior company and site management to maintain high standards of operational control and safety.
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years working in a busy operational environment with multiple colleagues and team members.
Qualified forklift driver with significant experience in FLT operations, including loading and unloading vehicles via ramp access.
Operational knowledge of waste regulations, package integrity, and load safety related to international transport.
Familiarity with ADR and IMDG regulations and their importance in the import, export, and handling of hazardous wastes.
