About the Role
Join Tradebe, a leading industrial group committed to sustainability and the circular economy. As the Waste Transfer Station Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial direction, growth, and performance of the Waste Transfer Station and package waste business across the UK. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the network meets revenue, margin, volume, and strategic growth targets while maintaining safety, compliance, and sustainability.
You will develop and execute the commercial strategy for WTS and package waste activities, identify new business opportunities, and support consistent delivery across the UK network. Collaborating closely with sales, operations, supply chain, bid management, finance, insights, and senior leadership teams, you will ensure commercial plans are aligned and supported by robust pricing, reporting, and performance management.
Externally, you will build and maintain senior relationships with priority customers, partners, and market stakeholders to enhance Tradebe’s market position, grow package waste opportunities, and support the continued development of the UK WTS network.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing commercial strategies for WTS and package waste
- Collaborating with sales teams to grow volumes and expand services
- Managing senior-level customer relationships and acting as escalation point
- Supporting customer visits, presentations, trade fairs, bids, and mobilisation activities
- Leading pricing activities and monthly pricing reviews
- Compiling, analysing, and reporting on commercial performance including sales pipelines, volumes, pricing, variances, opportunity lists, customer trends, NCRs, and key business issues
Experience
- Strong knowledge of package waste, disposal routes, treatment outlets, and Waste Transfer Station operations
- Good understanding of the WTS/package waste market including customers, competitors, and key commercial drivers
- Experience developing or supporting commercial strategy within waste management or related sectors is desirable
- Experience supporting sales pipelines, bids, pricing reviews, or contract mobilisation is advantageous
- Knowledge of margin management, commercial approvals, and performance reporting is preferred

- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage priorities under pressure and to deadlines
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel, to analyse data and support reporting
- Ability to coach and influence colleagues across sales, operations, supply chain, finance, and bid teams
- Understanding of compliance, health and safety, and environmental responsibilities within the waste sector
