About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Waste Water Adoption Manager to join a leading NAV operator and play a key role in the adoption of waste water assets. This varied role combines technical expertise, site activity and relationship management. You will work closely with developers, contractors and internal teams, helping projects move smoothly from initial drainage proposals through inspection, handover and final adoption.
You will take ownership of the waste water adoption process, ensuring assets meet statutory, regulatory and AWIN requirements before adoption. Responsibilities include reviewing and technically approving Section 104 (S104) submissions, advising developers on drainage proposals and technical requirements, carrying out site, pre-maintenance and final adoption inspections, identifying defects and managing snagging and rectification, coordinating CCTV surveys and attending air and water testing of new sewer installations.
Additionally, you will ensure as-built plans, agreements and relevant records are in place for successful asset handover and GIS updates. You will work closely with developers, consultants, groundworkers, site agents and contractors to resolve technical challenges, support budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and contractor purchase orders, and ensure adoption activities comply with the Water Industry Act, Design and Construction Guidance (DCG), Health & Safety requirements and other relevant legislation. You will also help develop and improve AWIN’s adoption processes, policies and technical solutions.
Experience
Experience within the water industry, particularly in waste water, is highly desirable. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements surrounding the adoption of waste and surface water assets is essential. Proven ability to manage contractors and work on active development sites with good knowledge of Health & Safety and regulatory compliance.
About you
Strong communication and relationship-building skills are important as you will regularly work directly with developers and other key stakeholders. You should enjoy combining technical problem-solving, site work and stakeholder management. Being proactive, organized and able to manage multiple priorities is key to success in this role.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or certifications in water industry, engineering or related fields are advantageous but not explicitly stated. A strong technical background and practical experience are critical.
