Dalby Larder area, eastern part of the forest district. Candidates are expected to live within reasonable travel time to YO18 7LT.

About the Role

As a Wildlife Ranger, you will work as part of the district's wildlife management team, protecting forests and supporting conservation priorities including mammal management. Requirements

Experience
Relevant experience in wildlife management or conservation is desirable. Candidates will be assessed on their ability to deliver at pace, make effective decisions, see the bigger picture, and manage a quality service.

You will be a proactive and safety-conscious individual who embraces Forestry England’s values. You must be able to demonstrate strong health and safety awareness and be committed to protecting wildlife and habitats. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will be required to pass a firearms skill test (DSC level 1 shooting test) and undergo enhanced criminal record and government baseline personnel security standard checks. Ability to converse in accurate spoken English is essential.
