Forestry England manages 46,000 hectares of public forest estate across South England, much of which lies within National Parks or Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and includes sites of national and international conservation importance. The South England Forest District team comprises around 160 people with diverse roles contributing to sustainable forest management, public access, and recreation, with nearly 50 million visits annually.
