About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and manage the Active Travel Team at the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA). Are you enthusiastic about increasing access to and participation in walking, wheeling and cycling across the Liverpool City Region? Would you like to make a real difference to how people move around the City Region, support modal shift to sustainable modes and assist with carbon reduction both now and in the future?

As the Active Travel Manager, you will lead a multi-disciplined team responsible for the development and delivery of new infrastructure, collaborating with constituent local authorities and funding partners such as Active Travel England. You will manage a wide range of projects and programmes aimed at encouraging and enabling active travel and supporting the growth of the City Region’s walking, wheeling and cycling network.

You will help deliver the Metro Mayor’s ambition for walking, wheeling and cycling to become the preferred ways of travelling shorter distances by the people of Liverpool City Region. This includes managing initiatives that improve connections between public transport hubs, such as railway stations, and walking and cycling routes, contributing to the vision of a London-style, integrated transport system.
