About the Role
Valoris Group, in partnership with a leading UK manufacturer of renewable heating systems, is expanding its delivery team to recruit both Trainee and Qualified Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Engineers. This is a long-term opportunity offering genuine career progression and industry-leading training within the private domestic and social housing sectors.
Depending on your experience, you will either:
- As a Trainee Engineer: Work alongside experienced installers, learning hands-on in the field while completing a structured training programme. You will gain the skills and qualifications needed to progress into a fully qualified installer role.
- As a Qualified Engineer: Take ownership of full ASHP installations, commissioning, and servicing, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards across both private and social housing projects.
Key Duties
Decommissioning and removal of existing gas boiler systems, installing unvented hot water cylinders and associated pipework, installing and commissioning ASHP systems in residential properties, supporting or leading on fault-finding and basic servicing, ensuring compliance with building regulations, safety, and MCS standards, and liaising with customers, surveyors, and the office team to ensure smooth delivery.
Experience
Trainee Pathway: Plumbing or heating background preferred (NVQ Level 2/3 ideal). Qualified Pathway: Demonstrable experience installing ASHP systems with a strong plumbing and heating background (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).

Strong interest in renewable energy and low-carbon heating. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work professionally within a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
Trainee Pathway: G3 unvented qualification desirable but not essential. Full UK driving licence required.
Qualified Pathway: G3 unvented qualification required. Knowledge of MCS standards desirable (training provided if required). Additional certifications such as WRAS, F-Gas, and electrical qualifications are advantageous.
