About the Role
Join one of the South West’s leading renewable heating teams at GreenGenUK, part of the Hometree Group. Established in 2011, GreenGenUK has grown to over 50 employees and supports more than 1,000 heat pump customers. We install and maintain hundreds of renewable heating systems annually, building a reputation for quality workmanship, strong technical knowledge and excellent customer service.

This new full-time position focuses on servicing, fault diagnosis, repairs and performance optimisation of domestic air source heat pump systems. You will work on complete heating systems including heat pumps, controls, hot-water cylinders, pumps, valves, emitters, electrical components and hydraulics.

Your responsibilities will include planned annual servicing, attending breakdowns, mechanical and electrical fault finding, repairing or replacing components, optimising system performance, commissioning checks, warranty inspections, and liaising with manufacturers and customers. You will work with systems from manufacturers such as Mitsubishi Electric, Vaillant, Samsung and others. Manufacturer training and ongoing technical support will be provided.

The role includes paid travel throughout the South West, company van, private medical insurance, performance incentives, overtime, working-away opportunities with enhanced rates, manufacturer training, and support from an experienced technical team.

GreenGenUK offers long-term job security within a growing renewable heating sector and a supportive working environment.

Experience
Practical experience servicing, commissioning or repairing air source heat pumps is essential. Experience with Mitsubishi Ecodan, Vaillant aroTHERM, Samsung heat pumps, R290 systems or recognised heat pump qualifications is advantageous but not required as training will be provided.

About you
You are a methodical and confident heating engineer who enjoys fault finding and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. You can work independently in customers’ homes, communicate clearly, and know when to seek technical support. Strong customer-facing skills and a professional attitude are essential.

Qualifications
Minimum NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and heating, with Level 3 preferred. G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification is required. Good electrical and controls fault-finding ability, understanding of system balancing, flow rates and weather compensation, and the ability to interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams are necessary. A full UK driving licence is required.

Desirable qualifications and training include electrical qualifications, Water Regulations, F-Gas and hydrocarbon refrigerant training, heat pump installation or service qualifications, and familiarity with MCS standards and renewable heating commissioning documents.
