About the Role
Join Thames Water Utilities Limited and play a pivotal role in managing the health and risk of critical water and wastewater infrastructure. As an Asset Health & Risk Lead, you will tackle the challenges of an ageing asset base and evolving network demands by developing medium to long-term plans and replacement strategies that ensure long-term asset health and system resilience. You will collaborate closely with Operational and Engineering teams, System Planning, Strategy, Regulation, and Health and Safety to embed asset health principles and drive investment decisions. Your work will include defining asset health metrics, implementing risk assessment frameworks, and contributing to capital maintenance programmes aligned with ISO 55000 standards. This role offers the opportunity to influence investment plans for Periodic Price Reviews and monitor asset health plans to ensure sustainable risk management. Experience
- Background in Asset Management or Engineering (Degree or extensive experience)
- Knowledge of asset management principles and techniques
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape within the water industry
- Experience interpreting complex data and making informed recommendations

- Logical thinker with excellent communication, collaboration, influencing, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert for asset cohorts, balancing long- and short-term investment choices
- Comfortable engaging across business functions and the broader industry to apply best practices and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Previous experience and knowledge of the UK water industry and management systems are desirable but not essential
