About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as an Associate Director in Ecology and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of environmental consultancy. You will lead ecological inputs on a diverse range of projects across sectors such as energy, water, renewables, defence, and transport, working on both large infrastructure and smaller local projects. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering ecological services, producing and reviewing ecological assessments (including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Protected Species Baseline Reports, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain Calculations), and providing technical leadership to deliver pragmatic, proportionate solutions.
You will engage with clients, planning authorities, statutory bodies, and the public, while also contributing to the development of technical capabilities and innovation within the team. Leading bids and tenders for ecological services and mentoring junior staff and peers are key aspects of this role.

Experience
Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering ecological services on projects within the UK or Ireland. Proven ability to lead ecological inputs across a variety of sectors and project scales.
