Hours
Full Time - Hybrid working model offering flexibility between office, remote and client site work.

About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as an Associate Director - Ecology and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the environment. You will lead ecological inputs on a diverse range of projects spanning large infrastructure sectors such as energy, water, renewables, defence, and transport, as well as smaller local projects. This role offers opportunities to work on national and international projects, applying innovative survey techniques, data capture, reporting, project management, Habitats Regulations Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain. You will provide technical leadership, lead client and stakeholder consultations, and contribute to the development of technical capabilities and innovation within the team. Mentoring and coaching junior staff and peers is a key element of this role. Requirements

Experience
- Demonstrable experience in planning and delivery of ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland.
- Proven ability to lead ecological assessments including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Protected Species Baseline Reports, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain Calculations.
- Experience in producing bids and tenders for ecological services.
- Strong client and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Mentoring and supporting ecology team members.

Qualifications
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution such as CIEEM or related.
