About the Role
The Big Chalk Partnership is a collaboration of over 150 organisations united by a vision to create nature-rich chalk and limestone landscapes across southern England. This role is pivotal in expanding the scale, pace, and impact of nature recovery activities that benefit globally important habitats and species, delivering ecosystem services such as natural beauty, clean water, healthy soils, and wellbeing.
The Nature Recovery Fund Manager will co-manage a significant grants fund on behalf of the Big Chalk Partnership Board. Hosted by the National Landscapes Association, whose mission is to lead and champion efforts to protect and restore the UK’s most outstanding landscapes, this role requires working collaboratively with partners to ensure grant-making maximises benefits for nature.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the UK’s nature commitments by supporting the Protected Landscapes Partnership and Defra in catalysing progress across these special landscapes.
Experience
Significant experience in grant making and donor reporting within the environmental or social sectors is essential. Proven ability to manage the full grant-making lifecycle and deliver effective outcomes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, summarise, and communicate key issues and risks clearly.
