About the Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will support the delivery of the district’s civil engineering programme by planning, specifying, managing, and delivering routine construction and maintenance through external contractors. Your responsibilities will include inspecting and maintaining civil engineering assets such as bridges, reservoirs, dams, and forest roads. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver civil engineering works while ensuring compliance with legal, health and safety, environmental, and policy obligations.

Experience
Relevant experience in civil engineering, including planning, specifying, managing, and delivering construction and maintenance projects. Experience inspecting and maintaining civil engineering assets such as bridges, reservoirs, dams, and forest roads is desirable.

Qualifications
A relevant civil engineering qualification is expected. Membership or eligibility for membership of a professional engineering institution is desirable. You must have the ability to communicate accurately in spoken English as required by the role.
