About the Role
ABM Facility Services UK are seeking full-time permanent Cleaning/Waste Operatives to join a high-profile client site in Wakefield. You will work as part of a motivated janitorial and waste removal team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Duties include maintaining high standards of cleanliness in welfare areas such as washrooms, break rooms, canteens, social areas including reception, offices, locker rooms, and production areas like the main production floor. You will handle waste generated on site via approved waste streams, preparing it for transportation. The role involves operating walk-behind and ride-on sweepers, scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment, ensuring all machinery is clean, well-maintained, and safe to use. Responsiveness to spillages and client callouts is essential. You will communicate effectively with your team and line manager, wear appropriate PPE, and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies. Full training on cleaning methods and equipment will be provided. This role requires working both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills.

Experience
No prior experience required; willingness to learn cleaning methods and health and safety procedures is essential.
