About the Role
ABM Facility Services UK are seeking full-time permanent Cleaning/Waste Operatives to join a high-profile client site in the Wynyard area. The successful candidate will work as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment providing janitorial and waste removal services. Duties include maintaining high janitorial standards internally and externally across welfare areas such as washrooms, break rooms, canteens, social areas including reception, offices, locker rooms, and production areas including the main production floor. Responsibilities also involve handling waste via approved streams and preparing it for transportation. Operatives will use walk-behind and ride-on sweepers, scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment, ensuring all machinery is clean, maintained, and safe to operate. The role requires responsiveness to spillages and client callouts, effective communication with team members and management, and adherence to Health & Safety legislation and PPE requirements. Candidates will receive full training on cleaning methods and equipment to ensure competence and safety. This is an active role requiring physical fitness and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy operational environment.

Experience
No prior experience required; willingness to learn cleaning methods and health and safety practices is essential.

Qualifications
