About the Role
ABM Facility Services UK are seeking Cleaning/Waste Operatives to join a high-profile client site in the Wynyard area on a full-time permanent basis. This role requires working as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment providing janitorial and waste removal services. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in welfare areas such as washrooms, break rooms, canteen, social areas including reception, offices, locker rooms, and production areas including the main production floor.

Duties include handling waste via approved waste streams and preparing it for transportation, operating walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers along with other cleaning equipment, ensuring all equipment is clean, well maintained, and safe to use. You will respond promptly to spillages and callouts from the client’s on-site team, communicate effectively with your team and line manager, and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies by wearing appropriate PPE.

The role requires working independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and excellent communication skills. Full training on cleaning methods and equipment will be provided. Our teams are ambitious and motivated, contributing to a fun and friendly working environment.

Experience
No prior experience required but knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn is essential. Experience working in a busy operational environment is advantageous.
