About the Role
ABM Facility Services UK are seeking Cleaning/Waste Operatives on a full-time contract basis for a high-profile client in the Wynyard area. The successful candidate will work as part of a team in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment providing janitorial and waste removal services. Duties include delivering high-quality janitorial services internally and externally in welfare areas such as washrooms, break rooms, canteen, social areas including reception, offices, locker rooms, and production areas including the main production floor. You will handle waste generated on site through approved waste streams, ensuring it is prepared for transportation.

Responsibilities also include operating walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers along with other cleaning equipment, maintaining all equipment in a clean, safe, and working condition. You will respond promptly to spillages and callouts from the client’s on-site team, communicate effectively with your team and line manager, and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies by wearing appropriate PPE.

The role requires working both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating great communication skills and initiative. Full training on cleaning methods and equipment will be provided. Our teams are made up of motivated individuals who contribute to a fun and friendly working environment.

Experience
No prior experience required, but knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn is essential. Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
