About the Role
Due to the continued importance of climate change as a key issue for built development and major infrastructure, we are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our team. These projects require climate change impact assessments as part of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). The role will focus heavily on climate change assessment to support UK consenting regimes, with opportunities to provide strategic advice on climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Key responsibilities include working closely with project teams to guide projects at pre-application and determination stages regarding carbon management and climate change, undertaking greenhouse gas emission assessments for Environmental Statements and planning documents, conducting climate change adaptation and resilience assessments, contributing to carbon management plans, performing carbon accounting (scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions), managing and delivering work to programme and budget, coaching junior staff, identifying growth opportunities, conducting research to develop innovative services, producing high-quality reports, preparing thought leadership content, and attending site visits and project meetings.

Stantec offers a friendly, inclusive, and supportive culture that encourages personal and professional growth with genuine career opportunities based on merit. We value high support and high challenge and encourage taking on new responsibilities to flourish in your career.
