We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior to Principal Sustainability Consultant to join our Benchmarking team. This role focuses on developing and delivering sustainability strategies, with an opportunity to grow our local sustainability offering as part of a wider UK team. You will proactively support the development of services in response to evolving national and local legislative drivers.
Your key responsibilities will include leading the delivery of BREEAM projects; preparing Energy & Sustainability Statements and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) / Life Cycle Assessment (LCA); managing your own workload to meet project deadlines; reviewing project details and developing sustainability targets; assessing documentation against targets and providing feedback; setting up and maintaining projects via the project evidence tracker; communicating sustainability requirements to internal and external teams; producing reports with advice and guidance for clients and project teams; and attending site visits to review progress against sustainability targets.
Experience
- Proven track record of project delivery in sustainability consultancy
- Qualified BREEAM Assessor
- Experience with Part L modelling (TAS preferable) and LCA (OneClick LCA preferable)
- Background in building physics, environmental design, environmental science or related sustainability disciplines
- Working knowledge of building performance modelling techniques
- Knowledge of planning, environmental impact assessments or wider sustainability legislation
- Understanding of building services related disciplines
- Experience developing and managing others
- Strong business development and emerging sales skills
- Client relationship management skills

Qualifications
A relevant degree such as BEng (Hons), BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher qualification is required.
