About the Role
Equans is seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will lead the commercial delivery of a significant Facilities Management (FM) service contract within the EQUANS Sustainable Facilities Management Division and support other contracts in the wider portfolio as required. You will provide contract commercial management, profit improvement, risk and opportunity management, and ensure compliance. The role includes supporting growth within existing contracts and new business development initiatives to expand the contract portfolio in the region.

Key responsibilities include identifying and driving risk and opportunity management, improving financial performance through continuous improvement, managing variation/change control to capture revenue, leading governance to ensure contract and internal compliance, and enforcing commercial compliance. You will optimise cashflow, rebut unfounded contractual claims, manage contractual claims and disputes, and ensure commercial governance for all subcontractors.

Day-to-day commercial support to account management teams and building strong relationships with client representatives are essential. You will also identify and develop value-adding propositions to enhance EQUANS services and support risk management throughout significant bidding processes, ensuring compliance with company requirements.

Experience
- Suitable commercial experience, preferably with FM contracts
- Proven experience in a commercial environment with strong negotiation skills
- Experience in risk analysis and management

- Excellent communicator with strong financial acumen and ability to analyse complex data and documentation accurately
- Skilled negotiator
- Sound understanding of risk management
- PC literate with proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to pass a DBS Basic check (required for this role)

Qualifications
- Educated to degree or diploma level in Law, Business, Surveying (Building/Quantity), or the Built Environment (FM, Land)
- Understanding and practical application of English law applicable to contracts and the FM industry
