About the Role
We are seeking a talented Consultant Arboriculturist to join our well-established environmental business at Tetra Tech. This role offers the opportunity to grow and develop an arboricultural team working closely alongside our multi-award winning ecology and natural capital teams. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors such as Residential, Defence, Energy, Government Services, and Transport. As part of a multidisciplinary consultancy, you will collaborate regularly with colleagues from Planning, Placemaking, Engineering, Transportation, and Asset Management teams to identify opportunities, support tendering, and deliver projects.

Key responsibilities include conducting BS 5837 arboricultural surveys, veteran and ancient tree assessments, visual tree assessments, safety and risk surveys, and providing management advice for local and national projects. You will prepare a variety of reports including tree survey schedules, Tree Constraints and Opportunities Plans, Management Plans, Impact Assessments, and Method Statements. Liaising with local authorities regarding legal protection of trees such as TPOs and Conservation Areas will be an important part of your role. You will also supervise site works, provide arboricultural advice to clients, attend client meetings, prepare fee proposals and tenders, undertake quality assurance of reports and plans, and support the Natural Capital team in arboricultural matters.

We operate a fully flexible, hybrid working model allowing you to choose where, how, and when you work, provided clients receive the high-quality service expected. The role requires some site work and occasional office or alternative workspace attendance to collaborate with the regional team and clients. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements to support your work/life balance, including deferred start dates for the right candidate.
