Contracts Manager (Retrofit) - Fixed Term Contract

About the Role
As a Contracts Manager for Novus Property Solutions, you will have the opportunity to see the direct impact and improvements your role delivers to customers and your team, enhancing your job satisfaction. This varied and challenging role involves managing a skilled and professional team while mobilising a new retrofit contract with an existing client in a secure environment, offering opportunities for growth and learning.
You will lead a small team of Site Managers delivering Retrofit works including solar panels, ventilation measures, loft insulation, windows, and doors within a Social Housing setting. Your responsibilities include ensuring contracts are completed on schedule, defect-free, within budget, and with no risk to the health and safety of your operation team, the client, or the public.
The role is client-facing and requires extensive knowledge of Retrofit and Planned Works within the Social Housing environment, including working knowledge of PAS 2030 & 2035 and all related documentation to comply with SHDF. Alongside your Contracts Management skills, you will seek ways to add real social value to the communities and customers you work with.
You will be supported by peers, your team, and management to solve problems and trusted to make decisions that grow and develop relationships and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams including subcontractors as determined by individual contracts.
- Manage site personnel, work activities, and resources to meet contract requirements.
- Control contract progress to ensure completion within timeframes and budget.
- Ensure all necessary contract documentation and reports are accurate and submitted on time.
- Attend monthly client meetings to review performance and plan future works.
- Support the Retrofit Manager with preparation, processing, and selection of estimates, bids, tenders, and procurement programme development.
- Assist in presenting contract briefs to clients.
Experience
Proven experience working within planned and retrofit works contracts, including both internal and external works, in a social housing environment. Extensive knowledge of PAS 2030 & 2035 is essential.
About You
You are an experienced, knowledgeable self-starter focused on delivery and able to communicate effectively with your team to ensure smooth daily operations. You are client-facing and able to build strong relationships. A full UK driving licence is required due to regular site visits. The role requires a DBS check.
Qualifications
Ideally hold SMSTS, First Aid, or associated NVQ qualifications. If expired, support will be provided to renew. It is the knowledge and skills associated with these qualifications that are essential.
