
Location
Woodford, E17 4AE. This role will be field based around the Thames Valley area.
Hours
38 hours per week, 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. You will take part in an out-of-hours roster which includes working one weekend in seven on a rota.
Salary
£26,110 per annum (£14.59 per hour)
About the Role
You will be working on the front line and be the face of Thames Water to our customers. Every year, over 500,000 tests are carried out on water samples routinely collected from treatment works, reservoirs, and randomly selected customer properties to ensure the highest quality drinking water.
- You will test water samples and manage the maintenance of your sampling records and equipment to industry standards.
- The role involves extensive travel between customers and sites, working as part of a busy team across a wide geographical area.
- You may also investigate supply issues and customer complaints.
- You will be part of an out-of-hours rota including weekend working.
Experience
Previous experience in driving and customer service is required due to frequent cold calling at residential and commercial properties and long periods spent driving and navigating.

Confident in cold calling customers at their homes and commercial premises.
Organized and able to work independently.
Good computer literacy.
Ability to plan journeys efficiently with good driving knowledge.
Open to learning about the water industry and relevant processes.
Qualifications
A clean manual driving licence is required.
