
Location
Woodford, E17 4AE. This role will be field based around the Thames Valley area.
Hours
38 hours per week, 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. You will take part in an out-of-hours roster which includes working one weekend in seven on a rota.
Salary
£26,110 per annum (equivalent to £14.59 per hour)
About the Role
You will be working on the front line as the face of Thames Water to our customers. Each year, over 500,000 tests are carried out on water samples collected from treatment works, reservoirs, and randomly selected customer properties to ensure the highest quality drinking water. As a Customer Sampling Technician, you will travel extensively between customer homes and sites, working as part of a busy team across a wide geographical area. Your responsibilities will include testing water samples, managing the maintenance of sampling records and equipment to industry standards, and investigating supply issues and customer complaints.

Experience
Previous experience in driving and customer service is required, as the role involves frequent cold calling at residential and commercial properties and long periods spent driving and navigating.
About you
You will have the confidence to cold call customers, be organized, and able to work independently. Good journey planning and driving knowledge are essential. You should have good computer literacy and either existing knowledge of the water industry or be open to learning about relevant processes.
Qualifications
A clean manual driving licence is required for this role.
