About the Role
Join Stantec as a Level 6 Apprentice Flood Risk Consultant starting summer/autumn 2026. This exciting apprenticeship offers hands-on experience and academic qualifications to launch a successful career within the Water industry. Based in London, you will work alongside a team applying modelling techniques to assist developers in tackling flood risk issues and evaluating the implications and costs of proposed mitigation measures. Your work will be critical in ensuring developments are appropriate for their sites and maximise the likelihood of approval. This apprenticeship enables you to learn while you earn, studying for a BEng Environmental Practitioner (Level 6) degree in partnership with Coventry University (block release) and Kingston University (day release). The training provider options will be discussed further during recruitment. Recruitment is ongoing, so early application is encouraged.

Applicants must be comfortable attending the office at least 4 days per week to receive appropriate support.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following academic requirements:
- UCAS tariff points: Minimum 112 points.
- A Levels: BBC including at least grade B in Mathematics and grade B in Geography or another analytical science subject (Physics, Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Further Mathematics, Design and Technology). General Studies excluded.
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM including Merit or above in Mathematics and either Geography or Science module.
- Scottish Highers: 4 SQA Highers at grades A, B, B, B including Mathematics.
- Irish Leaving Certificate (Highers): H3, H3, H3, H3, H3, H4 with at least H3 in Mathematics and Geography or another analytical science.
- International Baccalaureate: 32 points/655 with HL5 in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) and HL5 in Geography or another Science subject.
- Other equivalent qualifications may be considered.
- GCSEs: Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or 6 (B) or above including Mathematics and English Language. Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics are also accepted.
Applicants must have an unconditional right to live and work in the UK indefinitely.
