About the Role
As a Business Development Apprentice at Schneider Electric, you will combine learning with real-world impact by helping shape innovative solutions that meet client needs. Your mission is to contribute fresh ideas, analyse market trends, and support initiatives that expand our reach and deliver value. Most of your apprenticeship will be spent working on the job, gaining hands-on experience.
You will actively promote Schneider Electric Digital Energy offers to a selected customer base, securing orders, specifications, and standardisation throughout the supply chain. Collaboration with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Techno-commercial departments will be essential to ensure effective cross-entity, regional, national, and international cooperation.
Responsibilities include providing accurate and timely information and reporting to your line manager, monitoring competitor actions and sharing relevant intelligence with EcoXpert partners, managing competency records and addressing skill gaps, supporting the Digital Buildings line of business to prioritise top VIP accounts, and keeping customers and the community informed about Schneider product releases and innovations.

Qualifications
Essential qualifications include GCSEs: 5 passes including Maths, English, and a STEM subject at grade 4/C or above, and 2 A Levels at grade CC or above. Candidates with other relevant qualifications and industry experience are encouraged to apply as the apprenticeship can be tailored to reflect existing knowledge.
Experience
No prior degree in a similar subject is permitted due to UK government apprenticeship funding rules. Candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years and have permission to live in the UK (not for educational purposes) or hold pre-settled or settled status.
