This role is based in Denmark and requires residency with hybrid office attendance. We are seeking an ambitious Discipline Lead to join our Ports and Geo Team in Høje Taastrup. You will lead WSP Denmark's Ports and Geotechnics team of approximately 10 skilled engineers and specialists, delivering complex port and marine projects ranging from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction support for key Danish infrastructure assets.

As Discipline Lead, you will have overall responsibility for the team’s performance, development, and growth. Your role includes expanding the team’s capabilities and market presence aligned with WSP’s strategic ambitions, creating a leading Ports and Geotechnics practice. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Transport & Infrastructure, Environment, Water, Energy, and WSP’s global Ports, Marine, and Geotechnical networks to ensure clients access the best expertise while providing attractive career opportunities for your team.

Your responsibilities include leading business development and client engagement, driving bid management and proposal development, building and leading the team through recruitment and talent development, providing technical leadership in port and marine project planning and design, managing projects with accountability for schedule, budget, resources, and quality, collaborating with stakeholders across disciplines and geographies, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements, and contributing to the strategic growth and market positioning of WSP’s Ports and Geotechnics business.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven track record leading complex bids, developing client relationships, and driving business growth
- Extensive consulting engineering experience focused on marine and port projects
- Demonstrated leadership in project and people management

About you
- Curious and commercially minded with strong industry insight
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain structure and oversight in complex projects and business environments
- Fluent in Danish with the ability to prepare high-quality proposals and technical documentation
- Comfortable conducting business development and proposal work in English

Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, preferably specialized in Geotechnical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Port Engineering
