About the Role
Join Forestry England, a passionate team dedicated to growing the nation’s forests for everyone. As District Recreation Manager, you will collaborate with other leaders to deliver the district strategy and business plan aligned with the national Growing the Future strategy. You will support Recreation Managers in managing and developing the recreation offer to connect more people with the nation’s forests while ensuring sustainable finances. Your focus will include delivering the New Forest strategic recreation aims through partnerships with key stakeholders and leading visitor engagement via the New Forest Ranger team. Across the south district, you will oversee projects aimed at improving financial sustainability and enhancing visitor experiences by managing the Permissions team.

Experience
Relevant experience in recreation management, partnership working, and project delivery within a natural environment or similar sector is desirable. Experience in managing teams and delivering strategic objectives is essential.
