Salary
£36,343 - £42,000 per annum, dependent on capability, plus bonus and competitive contributory pension scheme with up to 12% company contribution.
About the Role
The British Energy Security Strategy aims to connect up to 50GW of offshore generation to the electricity network by 2030, requiring significant reinforcement of the onshore electricity transmission network. National Grid Strategic Infrastructure is leading this effort through the Eastern Green Link 1 (EGL1) project, a two-gigawatt high voltage direct current (HVDC) connection spanning Torness in East Lothian, Scotland and Hawthorn Pit in County Durham.
As a Document Controller, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the project’s document management system (ACC), ensuring efficient information flow between contractors and the joint venture team throughout the project lifecycle. You will support continuous improvements to the system, assist project teams, onboard new users, and promote best practices in document control.
Your responsibilities will include acting as the primary contact for the EGL1 Document Management System, supporting process reviews and updates, liaising with contractor document controllers, managing user access and permissions, providing reporting, delivering training, supporting PMO activities, and coordinating the final project document archive and handover.

Experience
- Significant experience in Document Control within major construction or utility projects
- Proficient in common data environments, ideally ACC, and SharePoint
- Experience managing final file and project handover processes
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 (BIM standards)
