About the Role

As an ECC NEC Project Manager within capital delivery, you will be responsible for the simultaneous delivery of several water and water recycling projects and/or programmes within the AMP8 programme for a utilities provider in the east geographic area. You will ensure compliance with project governance procedures including risk, cost, and change control, working collaboratively across teams to deliver projects successfully.

Your responsibilities will include driving design development, contract administration under NEC3/4 contracts, managing contractors, undertaking third-party liaison, and ensuring compliance with environmental, CDM 2015, water quality, and health and safety standards. You will prepare and implement project management plans, monitor progress, resolve issues, and initiate corrective actions. You will also be involved in client assurance activities, risk reduction meetings, and governance management.
This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, technical expertise in contract administration, and the ability to lead motivated teams in a complex infrastructure environment.
Experience
At least 8+ years of project management experience managing large, complex, or multiple infrastructure/capital schemes, preferably within the water sector or a regulated industry. Proven experience discharging ECC PM delegations including disallowed costs assessments, completion and defect certificates, managing change, and contract administration. Familiarity with NEC3 ECC clause provisions, contract law basics, and managing governance and change requests. Experience with project, programme, and financial management tools such as Oracle and Primavera P6 is essential.
Demonstrated ability to manage design and consultant teams collaboratively, lead risk reduction meetings, and undertake client assurance activities including final account reviews and defined cost assessments.
