About the Role
Clarkson Evans is the largest electrical and solar installer in the new build housing sector, wiring over 24,000 homes annually. We partner with the UK’s leading housing developers and were proud to be named Subcontractor of the Year at the 2023 Housebuilder Awards. We are expanding our busy Commercial Department and seeking experienced electricians, Estimators, or trainees eager to start a structured career path in electrical and PV Estimating, with potential progression to managerial roles.
As part of a 30-strong team reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will work alongside other Estimators to complete and follow up site tenders for electrical and PV projects. Each Estimator manages dedicated customer accounts, gaining a thorough understanding of customer requirements to ensure a truly customer-focused service despite our national scale.
In a highly competitive market, accurate and carefully considered pricing is essential, alongside excellent customer service. The team operates as a close-knit unit, supporting site-based teams by translating winning tenders into precise information to get the job done efficiently.
The working environment is fast-paced with a positive team culture akin to a well-run building site. Benefits include shorter working hours than typical site roles, a friendly atmosphere with social opportunities, and a strong focus on internal career progression for those passionate about long-term growth within the department.
