About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team in our Wastewater Division. As a successful candidate, you will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, timely, and effective manner with minimum supervision. This role allows us to ensure that all of our sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers. You will be making a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact by actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
- Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of colleagues, contractors, and visitors is always a top priority by complying with Health and Safety regulations and Thames Water’s guidelines.
- Undertaking both reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, and fixing issues or escalating as necessary.
- Recording work and asset information to improve business performance and identifying possible future risks.
- Providing specialist technical advice and coaching, training, and developing staff under supervision, including the apprenticeship programme.
- Delivering excellent customer experience and positively contributing to overall customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Experience
You should be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems or possess NVQ or C&G level 3 in electrical engineering. 18th Edition certification is required.

- An excellent communicator, providing technical expertise to internal and external staff and contractors.
- Resilient, adapting to the pressures of work in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and under your own initiative.
- Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety issues relevant to the industry.
- A team player who can work in various teams, showing respect for others and supporting their development.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications
No additional qualifications are required beyond the specified electrical engineering certifications.
