About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Contracts & Campaigns Manager to join Thames Water on a permanent basis. This role supports the delivery of improved environmental performance across our Wastewater Networks through Targeted Catchment Investigations (TCI) and customer campaigns. You will be accountable for reducing sewer spills by owning and driving all elements of this workstream, leading your direct team and contract partners, supported by effective internal and external stakeholder engagement.
You will manage the full roll-out of TCI activities across Thames Water, onboarding suppliers and ensuring delivery of interventions to reduce pollution, sewer flooding, and blockages. Contractor management and health and safety oversight of field teams are key responsibilities, alongside budget and financial performance accountability.
Working closely with marketing and communications, you will develop and deliver customer education strategies to prevent sewer misuse, leading outreach activities including workshops, conferences, and community meetings. You will build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, community groups, regulatory bodies, and internal teams such as legal, environmental compliance, commercial, procurement, and regulation.

Experience
- Proven contract management experience, ideally within wastewater network operations.
- Background in pollution, flooding, and blockage management.
- Experience driving performance through direct and indirect teams.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all organisational levels.
- Water industry experience or similar roles involving education and enforcement is desirable.
- Full driving licence required due to travel commitments.
